Musculoskeletal imaging is a technique of creating a visual representation of the musculoskeletal system for clinical analysis and medical intervention. It also helps in the assessment of musculoskeletal functions. Musculoskeletal imaging comprises of computed tomography scans, radiographs, magnetic resonance imaging, bone scans and musculoskeletal ultrasonography.
