This textbook serves as a foundational teaching text for undergraduate nursing students in Canada. Like most fundamentals texts, this text includes such topics as historical aspects of nursing Canada, teaching and learning, nursing skills, communication, medication administration, patient safely, nursing research, cultural safety, developmental needs, and critical thinking. Unlike other textbooks, however, it approaches nursing in Canada for a variety of perspectives, embracing the reality that nursing students and nurses face on a daily basis. Moreover, it addresses both the science and the art of contemporary nursing from a Canadian perspective.
