This title will be the fourth in our A Practical Approach to Anesthesia series, joining Hensley's cardiac anesthesia book, Mulroy's retooled regional anesthesia book, and the new obstetric anesthesia title by Brenda Bucklin. Like the others, this will be a "tweener" as our series editor Glenn Gravlee describes it--a book with more substance and greater depth of content than a handbook but less cumbersome than a textbook. It will focus on clinical issues but will contain enough core academic content to be useful for board review. It will be presented in bulleted and outline format for quick reference but will also broadly and comprehensively cover the field of pediatric anesthesia. The intentionof the series is to appeal to mot of themain segments of the market--residents, practitioners, nurse anesthetists, and even fellows.
