This book examines the major causes of food insecurity in the Asia-Pacific region, forms of gender-based food insecurity, state-led policies to address food insecurity implemented by select major countries of Asia, some of the major community-based responses to food insecurity and their policy implications, special food insecurity issues faced by specific classes of people an agenda for action to ensure food security in Asia.
