The present book is an attempt to explore the relationship between business and human rights and also to look into the obligations of the state and transnational corporations in promotion of human rights. Traditionally, it has been argued that promotion and protection of human rights exclusively falls in the domain of state; however, this notion has significantly changed and it has been strongly established that corporations are also responsible for promotion of human rights.
