This book examines the political particpation and voting preferences of African Americans, Latin's and Asian Americans, in comparison with one another and non-Hispanic whites. In general these minority groups have voted for liberal candidates and the author explores the issues of identity, immigration, voting rights, and values as points that might reshape their existing partisan trajectory. He draws on recent data sources and primary political science and sociological research, and examines the issues through the empirical traditions of American politics research.
