This report provides a discussion of recent developments in ethylene oxide and ethylene glycol production technologies and includes process descriptions for major licensors. Comparative production economics are presented for producing purified EO via ethylene oxidation and MEG from EO hydrolysis, the OMEGA process, and via DMO from coal. An overview of regional EO and MEG markets is provided.
