This report analyzes various technological and commercial aspects of EPDM, the prospects for which are linked to demand in the growing automotive industry, its primary end use sector. The report summarizes the conventional solution, slurry, and gas phase processes that have been implemented. It also describes modern-day advances in EPDM technology, including the introduction of a recently developed, bio-based route to EPDM. In addition, a comparison of the cost of production of EPDM in various regions via these processes is provided.
